PRIVACY POLICY
Your diary is yours. Full stop.
Effective date: 5 June 2026 · Applies to: the PCOS Diary iOS app and this website.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you log — symptoms, cycle dates, lab values — is stored in a local file on your iPhone, inside the app’s private container (shared only with the PCOS Diary widget on the same device). When you’re signed into iCloud, that data is also synced to your own private iCloud via Apple’s CloudKit, protected by Apple’s encryption in transit and at rest. We have no access to it: we run no servers and hold no accounts; nothing is ever sent to us.
Sync follows your device’s iCloud sign-in. Signing out of iCloud at the iOS level stops sync immediately; your diary stays on the device.
Apple Health
Health sync is off by default. If you turn it on, PCOS Diary requests access to exactly one Health data type: menstrual flow. It reads your flow days to draw your cycle history, and writes the periods you log back to Health. Nothing else is read or written, and you can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.
Analytics and tracking
- In the app: none. No analytics SDK, no crash uploader, no advertising identifiers.
- On this website: Vercel Analytics, which is anonymous and cookie-free. We see aggregate page views, never who you are.
Purchases
Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and your diary is gone — that’s the upside of on-device storage. Data written to Apple Health stays under your control in the Health app.
Not a medical device
PCOS Diary is a diary. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. Always discuss your results with your clinician.
